Chapmans Peak times and vehicle restrictions
Coming from Noordhoek towards Houtbay via Chapmans Peak, is there a restriction on the vehicle size and time curfew that they will allow you through?

You can only enter Chapmans peak from Noordhoek in a light passenger vehicle, a motorbike, car or small taxi. The biggest vehicle in terms of size is a Toyota Quantum.
Coming from Houtbay, there is no restriction on passenger vehicles.
Chapmans peak drive is open 24/7, there is no curfew from either direction unless you are using the free day pass which is valid between 6:00am and 20:00pm in summer and 7:00am to 18:30 in winter.
Chapmans peak does close if its very windy or wet. Rather check the road status if you are in doubt.
