Cul-de-sac and T junction

Hi, I need a little clarity regarding the meaning of a Cul-de-sac as well as its road marking. It seems i get it confused with road markings related to T-junctions. Please help me with that.

A Cul-de-sac is a dead end, you cant turn left or right.
A T junction is also a dead end but a road crosses on either side.
