CellC, How to recharge airtime with voucher…
CellC has various methods of recharging or buying airtime and data, the most convenient these days are via the banking apps.
Most banking apps charge a fee for this service, however minimal it is, it adds up.
Originally the first and only method of buying airtime was to purchase a voucher, take the pin and enter it in via a USSD code.
You could also dial a number and enter the code manually.
These options are still valid, highly used and always a fall back.
If your preferred app is wonky or if you are out of data, buy a voucher and dial *102* The Voucher Pin followed by the Hash Symbol:

CellC Airtime Share
CellC Airtime Share allows a CellC user to send part of their airtime value to another CellC user.
CellC specifies that the daily limit of CellC Airtime Share is set to R1000.00 per day but each transaction can only be done in the following values: R5.00, R10.00, R20.00 and R30.00.
If you need to send me than R30.00 airtime value to a user, you would have to do another transaction or as many transactions needed to reach the desired value.
This limit is probably set in consideration to the senders security.
How to send Airtime or Data with CellC Airtime Share?
To send airtime or data using CellC Airtime Share follow these steps:
- Dial *147#
- Select option 3, Data and Airtime Share
- Select option 2 for Airtime.
- Select option 1 to activate the Airtime Share Feature
- Once activated you will be shown you airtime balance and given and options to choose the amount of airtime you would like to share, you make the selection, confirm the amount and enter the cellphone number you are sending the airtime to. You will then receive a message confirming the transaction and the airtime will be send to the CellC prepaid customer.
Cell C Airtime share only needs to be activated once, to send airtime a second time you can follow the same method of dialing *147# or just use the shortcut USSD code and avoid all the prompts. The USSD code to send airtime to another CellC prepaid client is:
