My cars license expired in February 2020, I didnt receive my renewal notice and forgot about it.

With the traffic department being open, is the grace period still in effect ?

The grace period is only valid if the cars license expired during the lock down. If the license expired before the lock down then it doesn't apply.


The grace period is applicable to driver’s and learner’s licences, motor vehicle discs, roadworthy certificates and driver’s permits that expired during the lock down, between March 26 and May 31.


The grace period is for 90 days from 1st of June 2020.
